New Artwork 2024

Here is a selection of my new artwork for 2024. I have been inspired by the use of new materials this year. I have discovered copper mesh and have expanded my use of mixed media, acrylics and aluminium to create unique pieces of art. The aluminium gives the work a wonderful iridescence and the alcohol inks have very strong vibrant colours.

You may wonder how I have managed to paint on a material renowned for being so slippery. The aluminium I use has been prepared for the printing industry and is designed to be used with acrylic. I have also used acrylic mediums which act as strong bonding agents to ensure this work will endure beyond my lifetime.

I was inspired by photographs from the National Geographic magazine of feathers to create the Bird of Paradise paintings and other birds. I have always loved Abalone shells and used them to inspire the colours and shapes of my latest work.

You can view these paintings in more detail at my Online store.

I will exhibiting these paintings and more at my next exhibition May 17th to 18th at The Horton Arts Centre, Epsom, Surrey
