I have begun to use copper mesh in my work. This wing borrows colours from the Parakeets in my garden. Painted in acrylic mixed media, glass beads & copper mesh on gold coloured aluminium. The mesh has been enrobed in a thick acrylic medium and cut into feathers after which it has been painted in greens, blues, red and purple. The painting has been varnished for additional protection. It is very textured and has been framed in a box frame glazed with Perspex.
