In 2021, I found wonderful pictures from the NASA Mars Explorer mission showing the surface of Mars. I was particularly attracted by photographs of a glacial valley and the Jeroa crater. I have created a body of work that explores the surface using paper collage, textural mediums, glass and acrylics. I am still inspired and am continuing to create more paintings in this theme.
