I am fascinated by birds wings. I like the structure and the patterns created. I found an image of a Hummingbird wing close up view and used it as the inspiration for a series of paintings using acrylic mixed media, metal leaf and glass beads. You may notice Kintsugi appears in the title- The Japanese art of Kintsugi is the mending of broken porcelain with gold making the broken object stronger and more beautiful in the process.
